Music Design – Writing, Composition and Production

I made the weakest beat once on fruity loops and I performed a dance to it. I figured my music design potential could go nowhere but up from there.

Lyrics – Cover Me In Sleep
(Written and Co-Produced by: Claire Ejanda)

VERSE ONE:
Fake front
When I laugh
It ain’t nothing but a shell
That I put on
When I take on
Something other than myself
Someone break me from this spell
(Go to hell)

I can’t face it
Which face is it
Can replace it
Quicker than it takes you to trace it
Wanna change it
How?
When I’m about to break
No point in saying ‘Please’
Won’t you hear me

CHORUS:
Feels like my world
Is tearing at the seams
And visions can’t keep up
With ever-changing scenes
And life gets so distant
It’s not what it seems
Can’t make it out
Turn it off
Tune it out
Please
Cover me in sleep
(Oh I’d rather be asleep)

VERSE TWO:
Much too frequent
Felt your deep soul
Make a peephole
Through the layers of my skin
Irritates you
Won’t escape you
To ring the bell
And find out
No one’s home to invite you in

Hitchhike me
Magnify me
Let the sun burn my back
Like an ant on the pavement
Till you can’t recognize me
Does it make it easier to
Blame me
Forsake me
By pretending you can’t take me

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE:
If I used up every ounce of each chance you’ve given
And I asked for just one more
Would you take me as I am
Would you socialize me
Revive me
Make this kneeling man stand
Erase past mistakes
You can clear your slate
But you’ll never really change a man

(CHORUS)

Please
Cover me.

Cover me in sleep

TESTIMONIAL -  "I had the pleasure of meeting Claire Ejanda in January 2014 through someone on my board of directors. I worked with Claire for 15 months, and what began as a simple web site redesign turned into re-envisioning the entire online presence for my organization, The Reel Project. I could not have done it all without Claire's help and knowledge - she knew how to help me put every aspect of my vision on the screen including design, graphics, and structure. In all the time we worked together we never face-to-face or even had a phone call, and she was organized, methodical, efficient, ridiculously understanding, and she delivered the promised work on time. Her passion came through in our conversations and in the finished product, and these few words aren't enough to express my gratitude to her. I'm forever grateful, and I would recommend her ten times over."

About Claire Ejanda

One day, the "ones who know me best" were having a conversation about which super power I would most likely have. They decided on levitation. They went on to say that I would probably use it sparingly and discretely - like, to skip three steps when im on the stairs.
